Action Programme 2010-2011
Document acties
Every two years, the National UNESCO Commission draws up an Action Programme based on the programmes and policy cycle of UNESCO, as these express the themes that are of particular value to UNESCO.
Other criteria are the innovative added value that UNESCO can provide to the Netherlands in certain areas and vice versa, and the relevance of themes to policy, society and professional organisations in the Netherlands. The Commission also seeks to collaborate with relevant partners at both national and international level.
The current Action Programme focuses on four main themes: Learning throughout Life (specifically Open Educational Resources); Water in Global Change Processes; unesco in post-conflict and post-disaster situations; and Sustainable Access to Information. The Commission als pays special attention to: Ethics; unesco's Conventions on Culture; the network of unesco Schools.
